It is my hope and dream to create an alternative care clinic for veterans and families. To this end I have connected with others to help find grants and donations for this effort.
If you, or someone you know, would be interested in helping to further this project, please, contact me at steve.manire@gmail.com . I will put more about this in the website later.

To Whom It May Concern:
I'm writing this letter of recommendation for Dr. Steven Manire and his work with EFT for returning soldiers past and present with PTSD.
Here's a little about myself. I spent 12 years in the US Marines and US Army. I was deployed to the Middle East four times to include Desert Storm and OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom). I have been home since June of 2004. When I first came home I was having a lot of trouble readjusting to things at home. I thought that I would be able to shake this set of problems plaguing me. I would suffer with the inability to sleep, relax, attend gatherings, or be around any kind of stress. I would forget almost everything. I just wasn't myself anymore.
I went to the VA for help, which all vets should, but now I know why I had heard so many bad things about the VA. I was prescribed medicine after medicine, dosage after dosage, but to no avail. My doctor said the next step was admitting myself to the VA hospital for electro-shock therapy. There was no way I would subject myself to this. So, after four years of fighting with myself and the VA, I was awarded 60% disability.
I wasn't feeling any better, had thoughts of suicide, and my soulmate, my wife of ten years was ready to leave me. I don't blame her for those thoughts. I was drinking heavily, mean towards her, and reclusive. While on a trip to Germany, my wife heard of EFT from a friend. Upon her return and with some research, she came up with Dr. Manire's name. She made contact with him and I agreed to meet him. He came to our home and told me about EFT. I wasn't exactly sold on the idea, but he said the results would be wondrous. I agreed to try. After the first two hour session, I felt different, my body wasn't tired anymore. I also felt like I had taken my first breath of air in four years. My body was alive and tingling.
I thanked Dr. Manire for his time, and every week, twice a week, we meet. I no longer have issues with sleeping, anxiety, and I actually look forward to the next day. I'm a different person. My wife and I are together and a lot stronger now. He has even tried helping my wife with issues she has faced since my return.
I strongly recommend Dr. Manire [and EFT] to any vet.

And this message from his wife:
How do you help a stubborn ex-Marine that suffers from PTSD?
For more than four years I was trying to find help for my husband on how to handle life with PTSD. Unfortunately, no success in finding anything except medication. I was at the point where I had no energy left, was exhausted and saw no end in sight.
PTSD was destroying our marriage. I felt that I had tried everything, however, things got worse. When I mentioned to my best friend that I was going to file for divorce, she suggested to give EFT a try. She has mentioned it before but I kept thinking "yeah, right, he's going to laugh at me once I tell him somebody is going to tap on his body to make him feel better."
Nonetheless, I did some research and found Dr. Manire's information, called him and made an appointment for my husband. [Actually, she told her husband and he called for an appointment. Vet willingness is important. Dr. M.]
After the first session Dr. Manire accomplished amazing results. It was unbelievable: his facial features appeared more relaxed, he smiled and looked more peaceful. He started to sleep better, is calm, no anger outbursts and is much more patient.
I remember sitting in the big, ugly, uncomfortable waiting room at the VA looking around for any kind of brochure or type of information on help with PTSD. To my big surprise, there was nothing. If you are married to a Veteran that suffers from PTSD, please give EFT a try.
I cannot thank Dr. Manire enough for what he has done for us. Even during the time he was remodeling his office, he took the effort and drove to our house to work with my husband. He has given us so much helpful information and advice. He has taken the time away from his own family to help us. Words can't express ho much I appreciate what he has done for my husband and I.
Dr. Manire has saved our marriage. I fell in love with my husband again. He is now the person he used to be; the man I fell in love with when I first met him. I know it is still a long way for him to completely recover, but at least I see now that there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Thank you Dr. Manire!!!!
